Journal #32

+memorable learning experience?
+how can you learn it best?
+visual ideal school?

I had many learning experience in my life; but some much more memorable than others. I am so grateful that I have the ability to learn many things and be able to keep it as a memory in my life that I will cherish forever.
Recently, my high school's Broadcast Journalism and Film Crew expanded our knowledge, skills and passions to somewhere outside of our box. At the Student Television Network (STN) held in Anaheim, California was were I got to learn more about my still-deciding career in life. It also helped me get better with my passion. Writing and speech. The many boot-camps, sessions and competition helped me grow as a better speaker, reporter and a better team player. I was able to experience and learn more about the journalism industry and get a hands-on try to experiencing on what its like. The trip was really fun!

My visual ideal school is somewhere safe, fun, organized, and somewhere were everybody has the chance to grow and learn with my diverse classmates.

I believe that my best way to learn is visual and being able to try it myself.

  1. Hi Daphne,
It sounds as if your STN trip had a big impact in your life! Glad to hear that you got so much out of it :)
For your "ideal school"...what kinds of knowledge and skill did you feel kids today should master? And how, specifically, would they learn it best? I'd like to see more specifics in your journal on this topic.
